Steve Bobenhouse has been a running shoe engineer and designer for many years, working for companies such as Saucony and others, so he will have a great deal of expertise on the subject. THE BAG Please take some time and start getting your “BAG” ready for the first meet. This bag should be packed the day before the meet. It Contains:
Uniform, socks, warm-ups, spikes Gloves, sweatshirt, hats, blanket Rain gear Spare shirt, socks, underwear, hat, gloves and shoe string
Four small safety pins small box of Kleenex Aspirin, or Tylenol, other drugs as needed Inhaler if needed, Bee sting stick if needed 2-Water bottle, snacks, energy bars, 2 one dollar bills, assorted change, One large garbage bag to put your bag in when it rains

WATER BOTTLE this year we would like athletes to bring two large water bottles full of water to the meets. This will reduce our “ecological footprint” of the team. If each athlete brings 2 large water bottles full of water and the coaching staff brings water coolers to refill the water bottles we can save almost 750 water bottles from going into a land fill

Let The Season Begin

Monday is the official start of the CC season. It was a great summer and everyone should be proud of their efforts. The newcomers are going to a big asset to an already amazing group of returning runners.
Two things to point out.

WED AUG 13 at 6:30 PM in the Roosevelt Auditorium will be the Fall Sports Parent Meeting. Please try to attend. First there will be an All Sport Parent Orientation then we will break into individual sport meetings. We will discuss the season plans, transportation, expectations, parent volunteer opportunities, and team dinners. We would love to see you there even if you have to show up late.

Second, with the start of school we will switch our practices to 3PM starting Aug 15th. And keep that start time after school starts .

Ledges Team Outing and Good Bye to Joy

The girl’s team had a wonderful outing on Thursday at Ledges State Park.  They spent the day hiking, creek walking, exploring, chatting, sharing, bonding, and eating.  Each senior was given an opportunity to sharing their memories and thoughts on what it means to be a Rider Runner

There was also a bit of sadness as we said good bye to Joy and wished her the best as she moves to Houston Texas this week.  We will all miss her very much.  Mid Season road trip to

Houston anyone? DSCN0281DSCN0278
