The first week of summer training comes to an end. Averaging 22 runners per day it looks like we are off to a great start. The first day of strength and conditioning was held. It was a tough workout but most agreed it was worth it.
The coaches are pretty happy with the way the first part of the summer season has been going…
THE TIME IS HERE!!!!!!!
Hello Everyone…….summer workouts will begin Monday June 15th at 7:30 AM. Starting from the back parking lot of Waveland Tennis Courts. Practice will last around 50 minutes for the first couple of weeks. Fridays will a bit longer.
We will be adding some optional strength and conditioning sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting the second week of the summer workouts after our regular practice.
Parents you can go to the Parent Section of this website to download and fill out forms to get your athlete registered and squared away for the fall.
Our summer workouts are very helpful getting you ready for the fall season. The more running you get in this summer…the bigger the running base you have….the better you will feel when the fall racing season begins. We run for around 30 minutes twice a week, 40-50 minutes once or twice a week, and one day a quicker pace, but shorter distance. We run the roads and trails around the school. The coaches run with the team so the athletes are somewhat being monitored while they run. There will be a sign in sheet found on the gazebo table. The athletes sign in and sign out in the book. The workout for the day will be found on the table if a parent or athlete is trying to find the running pack.
Last thanks to everyone who signed up to help at the state soccer tournament in support of the Roosevelt Boosters Club.

Dear Athletes, Parents and Rider Fans,
Last night at the banquet was delightful. Thank you all for all of your hard work, dedication and support. The CC Banquet is second to none. I am just so proud of each and every one of the young ladies and their accomplishments this season. I wish we could give them all a big plaque like Megan received from the state. We say Good Bye to some really cool seniors and wish them the best. A great group of juniors and sophomores will move up to replace the great leadership the seniors showed. The freshmen class were outstanding…..so much fun to watch them develop as runners and love the sport of running. The future of the next 40 years are in good hands with next year’s team.
Thanks again to all the parents and my fellow coaches for their help and support. Special thanks to Kathy Schott, the Schott family, the Buchanan family, the Voss family and the Bakros family. GO RIDERS
